With a name as iconic as Lebowskis, the obvious angle for this article would be to relate every aspect of the bar to the cult movie The Big Lewboski. Sadly, I am not going to take that approach.
Located in the Finnieston area of Glasgow, Lebowskis attracts a mixed, friendly crowd of regular locals as well as the after work drinkers and come Friday night you will struggle to find a seat unless you arrive early.
The reason for its popularity is down to a few key features; a wide selection of drinks, good food, and friendly efficient staff.
Lebowkis has a wide range of premium beers and an extensive range of spirits. As a gin drinker they have a great selection and stock bottles that I had never heard of. The bar staff that night were helpful and forthcoming with suggestions and descriptions of each one and as you can imagine I ended up sampling most of them that night. They also feature what must be the largest selection of White Russians in Glasgow…. the dude would be happy.
Lewbowskis describe their menu as hand prepared from scratch using only the very best of Scottish fresh produce. Having not eaten here yet I can’t comment on the food but from what I saw and smelt it looked very good. I will grab a bite to eat here over the next few weeks and update my article.
