Pasta with Sausage Meat

Sausage Pasta
This pasta dish will take you only about 15 minutes to make and because you can blitz everything in a food processor there is very little preparation to do so is an ideal dish to make after that long day at work.
  • 4 spring onions
  • 1 carrot
  • pinch of chili flakes
  • 1 pack of 6 sausages
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon dired oregano
  • 250g dried pasta of your choice
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 400g tin of chopped tomatoes
  • parmesan
  1. Start by trimming your spring onions and carrot and then blitz in a food processor with the chilli flakes
  2. Then add in the sausages, the fennel seeds, the oregano and continue to blitz until everything is well mixed.
  3. Put a frying pan on a medium heat and then spoon in your sausage mixture along with some oil and break up the meat as it cooks just like you do with mince until it starts to brown.
  4. While the meat is cooking, boil some water and cook your pasta as per the instructions on the packet.
  5. While you pasta is cooking and once the meat is brown, crush in the two cloves of garlic and stir in the balsamic vinegar and your tin of chopped tomatoes, then bring to a light simmer and cover until your pasta is ready.
  6. When your pasta is cooked, drain off the water and then add into your sausage sauce and stir gently.
  7. Your dish is now ready, serve with some grated Parmesan.
